ABOUT WANNAMAHJ
Anna Ford first learned of Mahjong through her grandmother’s love of the game. Once Anna learned to play, she decided to bring the game to North Alabama through lessons and events. Since creating WannaMahj in 2024, Rebecca and Miranda have joined the team to continue spreading the love of Mahjong. The WannaMahj team is committed to creating environments that expand your mind and foster relationships.

The WannaMahj team loves hosting events all over Huntsville, AL. Open play, lessons, tournaments, and socials are all part of the WannaMahj portfolio. What started as in home lessons, has spread to an entire community of Mahjong lovers!

Anna Ford
Anna started Wanna Mahj in April of 2023 after playing for a year with her friends and finding joy in a game that her grandmother had been playing weekly since she was little. She loves teaching small in-home lessons or at larger business events! She is a Mahjong Line ambassador and a partner affiliate with I Love Mahj. Anna grew up in Huntsville and now lives here with her husband Forrest and their two daughters and miniature dachshund, Gus.

Mahjong is one of my favorite things - it’s fun and brings people together in such a great way. I love how it gives me a chance to be intentional with friends while enjoying the challenge. I’ve always loved teaching, so once I got hooked on the game, I knew I wanted to help others learn too! Outside of Mahjong, I love spending time with my husband and three teenagers, painting, and travelling!
Miranda Sisk
Hi, I’m Miranda! I have fallen in love with playing mahjong and love the way it brings people together. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, went to Auburn and now work here in Huntsville as a mechanical engineer. I am married to my husband Reid and we have a dog named Wiggins. Aside from playing Mahjong, I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I can’t wait to meet you and share my passion for Mahjong!
